HEALTH NEW ZEALAND SYPHILIS CAMPAIGN
Syphilis Ain't It
Syphilis is on the rise in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Syphilis is a bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI) and is currently at epidemic levels in Aotearoa. Around 50% of cases are asymptomatic in the early stages. Untreated syphilis can lead to serious health consequences. Learn more about the symptoms and management of syphilis here.
The only way to know if you have syphilis is to get a blood test. If you're having sex, we encourage you to get tested regularly. You can use our STI Clinic Map to determine the most convenient location for you to get tested.
