STI helpline

We run a national STI helpline in partnership with the STI Education Foundation. You can call or email the helpline to speak to an experienced, non-judgemental nurse counsellor. Calls and emails are kept confidential.

Call 09 433 6526 from a mobile or 0508 11 12 13 from a landline.
Email info@stief.org.nz.

The helpline is open 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. If you do not reach us, you can try again later or leave a message with your first name and number, and when you'd like us to try and call back.

Email enquiries will be responded to within 5 working days. Occasionally our team will need to consult with other experts regarding your enquiry, which may delay our response.

Please note, our helpline is for Aotearoa New Zealand residents only.

Disclaimer: The advice provided by the helpline nurse counsellors is based on best practice for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for attending a consultation with a health professional for medical diagnosis or treatment.
